Default Contractor Carving Finally Finished!!

I was finally able to finish the carving of a contractor that I was doing for my son. A little side trip to the hospital and some recuperating kept me from completing it for some time. I also had to re-carve the head - The original was just a little bit too small. Critiques welcome.

As usual, your work is very impressive. I absolutely love the way that you mounted him surrounded with 2 X 4 framing... what a great way to compliment an already great carving!

Unfortunately, I missed the beginning post but (fortunately) I found the original link at the bottom of this page where "Similar Threads" show up. Unless I missed something I just couldn't quite figure out how big that he is. From the pegboard backing on your first pictures would I be close guessing about 6 to 8 inches high?

Thank's for showing us the completed work!

Dave: The figure is 9.5 inches tall, and the framing is 13 inches tall, not counting the walnut base, but counting the joists and subflooring.

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.
