I agree with Colin. The eyes are the soul of your carvings. I have to pull myself away from looking into them to admire the other parts of the carving. Again, a fine carving to be proud of.

Well done, the changes really did make the face stand out more. You might watch ebay as there are two of the carvings being sold there right now. I think yours is better but a good thing to watch how they do.

Ash, my curiousity got the best of me so I checked out ebay...perhaps the second time in my life. I saw one carving similar to mine but carved out to fit on a wall. I spotted a few more but a very different style of carving. So far the quoted prices are quite low - not very encouraging. Thanks for the tip.

Don't touch his jaw. Many of my neighbours have a jaw just like that (I live on a Reserve)

About the only thing you might think about changing is the undercut where the face goes under the head-dress. Maybe.

On 2nd thought, maybe not. Just leave it be.

The problem with E-bay is everybody on there wants everything cheapcheapcheap.
