Have settled on Arapaho! That's it.... I've ordered the nameplate! Should have him finished today. Tried to combine everybody's suggestions on the paint job.

Maybe a bit late....you should name it with an Indian word, not with an Indian name. (does that make sense?)

Dang it! I was so hopeing you would take the indian name that HI HO posted. Sure would be a conversational piece for sure. But then, Ya would have to wrap the name plate completely around the base and maybe two lines. Well, Ok, If that is what you want to call it, but,,,,,,,, ing around!

Nice name Lynn!

...it almost appears as the horse is bowing as if its rider had fallen(passed on), maybe a name can be derived from there...(is it Remington's thats named the "End of the Trail")...

...or could it be that he is just "plum tuckered out"...

...i just wouldn't box myself into naming the horse without considering naming the scene...

Lynn, great job BTW!

hey that is a nice horse ! :-) ... (actually, i am a big fan of your horses, have studied them on your blog-page, but this one is doing more. really great)...
this is a newbie question, i am afraid, but i wondered, and so i now dare ask...why do you burn these brown lines in your carvings ? is this made so that the painting you put on comes better ? ...
btw, arapaho is nice name, reminds of arabian blood he has inside himself, kind of thinking of ol d times... i think, i would give him a palomino color, but black with a bit white would certainly suit him well too...
