Default Cold weather makes for carving lunches

It's been pretty cold up here this week. Wednesday didn't even get out of the single digits and it's been windy. So at lunchtime I've been using my Double Cross on some pieces of wood I keep in my desk instead of going out for a walk.

Here's the latest one. I had started a ball and cage on one end a while back. I flipped it over and carved the face on the other end. I'm not thrilled with how the photos came out but I'm home sick today and don't feel like getting up again to re-take them.

I may paint it. I REALLY need to practice that skill.

Mike - Wow ... I think the figure on top of the ball-in-cage is a great idea. That's looking good.

He look's a bit like a politician to me. Now if you could only somehow convert the "ball" into a hot air balloon.

Thanks for sharing it!
