Hi everyone. I have been working on my bat project and am about to do the wings. They need to be very thin, like paper thin. I was wondering if a "wood hardner" I've heard mentioned here and there would be in order to keep the wings from breaking? If so, what is used as a wood hardner? Or does anyone have any tips, tricks, on giving wood the illusion of paper thin without actually going too thin? Hmmm. Help!!! I don't want to do all this work only to have it fall apart with handling. TIA

Well you can always do it the way the old airplanes were made, glue a cloth over the frame.

I'd think if it was carved out of black walnut you could probably carve a life-size bat and not worry about it breaking unless it was dropped. Wade |
