Progress has been slow, Although i have been able to cut the penciled 3/4x2x4 blocks cut to singles there are 6 players per block and now 3 per 3/4x1x4 " stick

6 sticks to go

finished these 2 single 3/4"x1 -1/4"x1"
repeat with his lemon snow cone & pete with bubble gum bubble, have been added to the team, along side the squatty heckler on the right,

quarter in front for size relation

Very nice... I'm amazed at how small they are but with how much detail you were able to put on them. You must have great eyesight. I just had to buy a magnifier to carve and paint with.

This thing has went hay wire again, (the fourm) message thread is at 160 instead of 80 guess i broke it... by posting that big pic.. and linking it from the gallery? right bob D,

folks there is quite a bit of detail but it wouldnt show as much if i wouldnt have used the wood burner, Painting when finished with one team will enhance another step...

using +3.00 reading glass, and a +3. +4 visor & +6 monical, intence light and a steady hand is what i use,

now dont get me wrong, the little guy pete lost both hands and arms in a slipping cut accident, a quick trip to the elmers bottle and a few hours rest and he is good as new.

these little pee wee's are 95% knife only carved,
I use a light blue or green hand shaped dremel stone to work the divit inside the ears after a 2 or 4mm gouge used to shape the outter ear,
other than that a 2mm,gouge or palm v tool is used only to pull the odd stubborn chip from restricted place...

in the pics the tools used to carve them
oh the coin in the picture has been changed out to a quarter, my dimes keep disapering

Gene, sorry i didnt see the question in this post,

At present i got 5 pee wee's mostly done, and bout 15 to 20 planned, we got to have a peanut gallery, and moms...

i can do bout 2 of them a day till my hands give out and i loose it.. or my eyes give out and go blurr

i hunted for 2 little hands last night in the chips for over an hour, found one glued to my leg and the other stuck inside my slipper, i had them prepared to reattach and sneezed when they departed the area..

i dont hesitate to dive after them in the chips... but it sure makes me mad when pieces hide...

if a hand or other part henders me from cleaning out some places it usually gets broke off. accidently

i started a new album here on WCI Carving Illustrated called pee wee, that is also a link to my album for them,
i think if i just post them there, i might have time to make 3 a day especally now that i got one teams most key players near finished...

pitcher & batter soon...
