Default Carving Kim Possible!

It has been a while since I have done any relief carving, I tend to do many of my carvings in the round! However, Harley Schmitgen has inspired me to do an occasional piece. Rather than stick with a Santa, Indian, etc, I am going to give the Disney character, Kim Possible, a shot. I really like the dynamic pose and think I can do a lot with the perspective as I carve it. Here is Kim ready for action! The template has been cut out of 5/8th inch basswood and the pattern is transferred. Will see how this one goes!

Ya went and done it Gary,
I had my Granddaughter in here looking at some carvings everyone had posted and she saw your Kim Possible post, Now I have to carve one.
Luckily, it will be a while.

Nice template and cut out.
Would like to see it when you get it completed.

looks like a fun project,

i carve the charters from bob the builder for my grandson, he isent much of a stickler for detail. but turning a cartoon charter into a carving in the round takes a lot of figguring on the side views and 3 dementional attributes of the carvings,
dont give up on the first and dont get over detailed just a couple of points i would express, the more of the charters you carve the better you will get..
