hi lynn...i just drop in to say, i love your sequences of carving pics. i have looked every your entry in your blog. they are so much fun, and lots of good information to see... i enjoy your horse carving in particular. your style of carving is very organised, its fun to watch. thanks for sharing

Lynn I cutout the horsehead blank based on the sketch and made it 2 inches thick as you said, however your picture looks more like 1 inch than two? I drew in the v between the ears and the whole thing looks too large?

I meant that you had to use 2" stock thinking that that is what is normally available. Look at the 3" cutout and you can see the approximate thickness of the head.

I'm sure going to be following along. I have snagged all of the pictures and have the pattern scaled to size. I have got to finish this basement project first or my wife will shoot me. We got our basement flooded about 6 weeks ago so my carving has been on hold for awhile. I'm excited about this horse project. Thanks Lynn for all of your time spent on this....Myron Compton

I must be dense today,, I know, whats different about today! But what is the L shaped cutout? looking at the 3 inch cutout, it appears to be about 1 inch right?
