Default Carving A Horse Head

I'm starting a new project on my Blog. I think I've come up with a way to make it simple but still let you end up with a nice carving. Believe me when I say that this will be a truely Awesome project!

i wanna do this one, if its ok... but dont know how to figger out the startin' block size .. and is the grain running down the neck or up the head? i cant tell from the pics...
