Here's the way I get most of my idea's on a project,first I draw a picture
most of the time it's a front and a side view,but I have done a carving from just a side view.The advantage of just a side view is that it leaves alot for
the imagination to run wild.This particular pattern was drawn up on Saturday
1/14/06,and then transfered to a 4x4x8 inch block and then roughed-out
on Sunday 1/15/06.

Mark- a very nice start to your viking.i try making sketches but they don't turn out like your.
so now i just cut out a side view and carve away till i get something reasonable or a piece of firewood.
