Default Bringing my cartoon to life?

Here is a cute(?) little fellow I'm working on.
I drew this cartoon about 15 years ago and thought it would make a funny carving.
I don't like the ears so they have been removed and will be replaced with ones more like the cartoon.
The Dog will be standing on a sidewalk and tied to a fire hydrant with flies all around him.
I think I'm on my way but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

poor doggie ... ah, so refreshing seeing you use own cartoon to design your carving, it looks very good to me, you captured the main of the drawing i think, and made it the own artwork in wood, with the characteristic a wood carving has. very well done, i am looking forward to see that finished :-)

The big mouse was just something I found hiding in the wood.
He's living at my Dad's house. Never thought I'd give Dad a mouse for a present and he'd like it!

Thanks for lookin,
Doug

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Well Al, the flies are a bit of a problem. I am going to carve them out of chips. Then, I'm planning on using some very fine copper wire shoved up the behind of the fore mentioned flies. (Seems like I remember a classmate doing that in study hall too) Then I can shape the flight plans accordingly. Seems like it'll work on paper at least.

I am open to other suggestions though.

Thanks,
Doug

Great dog and good job copying your cartoon drawing. Sorry can't help with flies that small. Huge magnifying glass and micro tools. LOL
