Default Boxwood Nestsuke Skull (WIP)

Well This is my first propper Netsuke carved from box wood. I've fallen in love with box wood it does everything i want it to do. The detail i can get it to hold is just awesome.
I've been taking pictures every now and then of this piece so you can see how it progresses.
Any questions about it just ask.

Fly he is great as are all of your Masterpieces. I continually am amazed at the level of detail that you get in your miniature carvings. Keep up the good work

Amazing, Richard! Especially the fact that the mandibles show the roots of the teeth.

That is a very nice carving, what is that your using to support him it looks like a clay of some sort.

Another great piece of carving underway Richard!

Thanks for the box wood supplies link by the way. I've sent away for some and as the shipping costs were so low, I guess I've got a long wait.

Richard, now you can see why netsuke was carved out of boxwood hundreds of years ago. It is my favorite wood, too.

I forgot to mention, great carving.
