Default Birthday Eagle

Hi All,
I am spending most of the summer at the cottage, but had to come home for a few appointments and see if Colin is really working.
I needed a Birthday present for a friend, so I tried another little Eagle. This one is 100% chainsaw. I stated with a Stihl 026 and finished with my little Redmax with the 12 inch bar and dime tip. A great little saw, that makes a fair carver great.

It was textured, burnt and painted . It was a piece of pine, not as big as I needed, but it turned out OK.

Bob

Bob
What a GREAT eagle!! I would sure like to try that some time. Do you use a little chain saw or what? Is it hard to control? It appears to me that my carving glove wouldn't be much security doing that!! Maybe I had better just stick to the small stuff.
That carving is truely fascinating!

Looks great. I can just imagine myself with my chainsaw, the bottom wing on the stump and the bird decapitated on the ground. But I guess that's why they make epoxies...my picture is on the bottle!
