Default Birdseye maple box (grizzly)

Hi Everyone
This is a carving for another one of my boxes.
Made from a 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 7" piece of birdseye maple.
I scrolled this and now am whittling it with a cheap $12.00 carving kit from Canadian Tire.

I really like the way you are doing the box. Scrolling is also my other hobby but I have never tried to combine the two. How difficult is that birds eye maple to carve? Also looking forward to the finished project.

Boy I guess I should throw away my carving tools and buy a knife from Canadian Tire! This work is wonderful. Please post the finished box when it is done.
