These are some birds that i am working on, winter wrens, downey woodpecker, a couple of carolina wren, one with open beak, now gotta make the legs & toes, and the bases for mounting. And the HARDEST part for me...PAINTING!!!
Neat looking birds Errol. Be sure to keep us posted on your progress. I would be interested in how you make your feet for the birds. Could we maybe get a couple of pics.? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks every one for the kind comments!! It means alot coming from a great bunch of wood carvers. Bandaid, I would be glad to tell you and also will send pics of how I make the feet and toes. It took a lot of practice for mr to just get this far making feet. But since I also am trying my hand with minatures theres not always minature feet to be had. I make the legs ans toes for all the birds I carve and also the eyes on all the minatures. I'll be making feet tomorrow so I will make pics of each step . I tried making feet the way of a couple of others did, but I finally found the easiest way for me.
