Default Better call the Plumber

I have wanted to do this since I seen a similar version by Marv Kaisersatt. Could not find a pattern so I give my wife the camera and I posed for her. It did make good reference pictures to go by. Hope to paint it this weekend. Overall about 10" tall. The base is 3-1/2" x 6". The base and plumber are carved from one piece of basswood. The pipe wrench is a separate piece inserted into his left hand. The part of the handle that sticks through his hand is part of the base/plumber piece of wood. Two pieces of wood total. All criticism welcome. That's the only way to get better.

Really a nice carving Myron. About the only comment I could make is you forgot the "Plumber's Crack"! Maybe it will show up later as the wood ages!! Again, Nice!!

Well, Lynn beat me to it on the "plumber's crack"
Must be a new plumber's trainee since no crack.

Nice piece of work. Neat pipe wrench.

Great job there Myron, but he couldn't work here in NY without the crack...

Excellent Myron!

I'm a big fan of carvings like this (ala. Kaisersatt style).

You did a nice job with the subtle details that add life to the carving....lifted heal, slightly larger knee joints, definition to the elbow joints, clothing wrinkles. All things that add to the carving.

Can't wait to see the paint job!
