| | BBC Bear! Had a request for another prize for the kids at the dojo so I knocked this one out this weekend. It's carved from four each 1/2" thick layers of empress wood laminated together with Titebond II and finished with acrylics and one coat of W.B. poly. It stands 6" high by 2" x 2"
P.S.... BBC stands for Black Belt Club!
I know.... You all are wondering why I'm not getting sick of making bears. The answer is simple. I'm havin' too mch fun! Ha! Ha!

| | Re: BBC Bear! Eddy, What a neat idea, and what a neat carving. If you're not careful. all the kids will earn the black belt so they can get a bear.

| | Re: BBC Bear! Thank you one and all for your nice comments!... Tom H.... Thankfully, earning a black belt is not a criteria for getting a bear, although if It would help in keeping these kids in the martial arts after they earn their Junior Black Belt I would glady carve them two or three. Unfortunately, our parents look upon the Black Belt as an end rather than a begining and shortly after their children receive recognition for their 6-7 years of hard work they allow them to quit and throw it all away, never realizing it's current or future value. Keoma.... You confused me on a previous post with the ugly gnome reference and now I'm further lost with your reference to Bristish televison??? Help me, I'm drowning here! Forrest... You got me! I confess. I am a certified bear nut! Is that anything like a Brazil nut? Or a Peanut? Hi Ho... Just as from acorns the mighty oak grows, from Blue Belts the mighty Black Belt emerges! Ha! Ha!
