Default Bayou band in progress

I haven't been posting any of my wood doodles lately. Been getting lazy I suppose. In any event here is my latest project. Most of these guys were carved at red lights (and today in computer class when the network crashed! Always cary a knife!) They still have a lot of detailing to go, not to mention painting...
Thus far I have the dog at the piano, the opossum on the jug and the Turtle on the tambourine. I'm getting ready to carve the singing pig for the top of the piano. She will have a red dress and pearls. Other members will follow including a armidillo, a gator and a frog or two... Still trying to come up with a good name for the band.

Take care,
Dan

Ps. for scale the piano is about 6" tall and 4" wide, give or take.

Very nice scene you are working on.
The piano is cool with the warped top.
Keep us up to date on your progress.

I really like where you are headed with this. I think you will be hitting some high notes when this is done.

How about the "Duke's Basswood Band"?

Dan What a super idea!! I have enough trouble carving one thing, I don't think I could every put three or four things into one project. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Dan,

That's a fantastic idea, and it's coming along very nicely. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished scene.
