Keoma,

You got the nose and eyes down pat, thank to Doris for the eyes. Now, about those lips. Did you use Angelina Jolie as your model?

Ahhh, she is fab! How did you joint the arms? I have a little bald head guy I've been working on(well not to much) and I'm going to attach arms to him.He looks kind of like a little perverted kewpie. Are her arms movable? I haven't decided if his arms will be stationary or not. anyway, she's way cool!!

Good Morning! Doris I am so glad you are happy! You have made me feel so great about myself! I can't wait ti finish Ms. Milfoil and move onto my Justine
Sharon! How are ya? Her arms are movable, slightly poseable and jointed. Can you see the joints? They bend pretty well Always happy when they work out. I will take close ups as I make her legs this morning so you can see better. I would love to see your perverted Kewpie...hyuck hyuck hyuck.
Making my dolls is my passion! I just love them. Now I feel like I have a new lease on them

I'm Excellent! How are you? I'll post a pic of him when I have time and do some more work on him. I would love to see more pics of how you do it. I've made alot of polymer clay dolls with wire armature bodies. I started a peg wooden doll when I was in jr. high but never finished it, so would love to see close ups. I haven't completed a doll since my mom passed on in 2001. My sis, mom and I all belonged to the local doll club.We all made dolls in some shape or form. I'm finally getting were I think I can handle it emotionally to make a doll again. My mama would have absolutely loved your witch doll.I will have to show my sister your doll. Ahh...Sentimental crying jag over for now, and big smile on my face! It's fantastic day!!!!!

YAY! Quit yer boohooin' and make yourself a doll that looks like yer mama And wait a minute...a doll club? Holy Moly, I would like to know more about that!
I took lots of pics while I put her legs together this morning. That should give you an idea of how she goes together. I whittle little "nails" a flat head and a tapered shaft (HA!) I make the arm or leg hole slightly bigger than the hip or shoulder hole. That way the arm/leg will slide on the shaft while it fits snugly in the slightly glued base. Does that make sense? lol. sorry, the pics will speak for themselves.
I am off to wash my hands, blow my nose and make lunch...not neccesarily in that order Then I will post the pics! She is done excepting for her cloths. I can lay in bed and sew them tonight. I have to finish her or I will never get anything done!!!

it all starts with a sketch

I cut it out rough, then whittle to shape

This is how they attatch to the body Sharon. I counter sink the hip holes then use the pin, punding it in nice and snug with just a dab of glue.

I spend hours making these little babies
