| | Any ideas for a Cane head? Hi, I just cut this piece of Boxelder that was growing out the side of my garage. I've been trying to decide what would be a good fit for it. I'll welcome some ideas. Dick

| | Re: Any ideas for a Cane head? It already looks like a flamingo head. Just add some detail. But who would want a pink walking stick?....Tom H |

I was thinking maybe on the same wavelenth, but you'll never see it in the pink, because I don't usually paint my stuff. I like wood to much. Did you ever see my flamingo in my gallery?
Bob: A frog sounds interesting, thats a maybe.
I'll keep dwelling on it. That stick won't run away.
And Doug,
I'll have to look at some Pelicans also.

PS: My wife had to use a cane for awhile this winter. She picked out the prettiest one she could find..

| | Re: Any ideas for a Cane head? Dick, thanks for your kind comments. The poems were written in response to the poetry contest as advertised in Chip Chats magazine. I don't expect to win anything with them but I had a lot of fun writing them.
I still think a Louisiana Brown Pelican is just waiting to emerge from your cane top. At least that's what I see when I look at it'

| | Re: Any ideas for a Cane head? I'm not sure just what you can make from the boxelder but holy cow, all that I can say about your wife's cane is "Welcome to the golden years".
That's quite a cane! |
