Default Another Project- Uncle Sam

Here is another project that i just finished last weekend i carved this peice from a 2x2x12 block there was no pattern just worked it out as i went. he has been carved for a while and never got around to painting him then last weekend i decided he needed some color and this is what i got, im pleased with him. let me know what yall think.

Great job, on the carving and the paint job. I'm glad I didn't have to paint those pants. I have been back to look at it several time. Love the detail.

What a great carving. One of my work buddies just got called up to Bagdad. I was wondering what to carve him. An uncle sam would be good. Of course I will do a different one than yours but you have inspired me!

Like the Flag in the box. Was that Ball a little tricky to carve and paint. First glance at the first pic it almost looks an aged Jimmy Carter standing there!

thanks for the kind comments fellas, greg i have not carved many uncle sams but they are fun and i am gonna do some more.uncle sams are alot like santas you can do so much with them and change them in so many different ways.

p.s goody i didnt have to carve the ball it there all the time i found it when i started cutting lololol
