Default Another Peter Rabbit

While away this summer for a weeks travel, I knocked out a larger version of the little Peter Rabbit that I had done for my Granddaughter. As my brother Allan is going to become a granddaddy himself soon, I deceided that this one will go to the new addition. Sister-in-law Kathie has made a quilt in the Peter Rabbit theme, so I thought the piece would go well with it. I burned and painted it up as soon as I got home and mounted it on a small pedistal. I like it. It is in Butternut and is 6" high.

Looking good! Are you going to do the whole set for your brother's grandchild too?

I doubt it Mikeg, but time will tell. I figured just one to get him started, and it is quite a bit bigger than the ones Octavia plays with. But of course when she saw it, she asked why it was bigger than hers? So perhaps more will be required for her too? But I reminded her that this baby is only getting one, so I made it bigger, while she has the whole collection to play with and that seemed to satisfy.

Ahhww, I never get tired of seeing Peter Rabbit! He's so cute. Great carving. I love the bright colors and the nice crisp paint job, too.

Just mailed out one and finished yet another. These little devils are popular! Great gifts for new babies in the family and for friends.
