What a major project Mark ... But you look like you got things right on target for another great project ..

If it's anywhere as great as the last one you did .. you got one beautiful set of cabinets coming ..

Mark .. One question .. do you pattern your drawing or is everything freehanded from memory ?

Thanks

Gene

Pretty much everything I do is freehand. The cabinet designer had a general plan,,I just work it out on the wood. This is the type of thing where a definite layout isn't really needed.More natural and freeflowing.

Mark, keep the pictures coming. I learn from every picture posted on this forum.

This forum is great because we have so many artists with different talents, philosophies, and personalities willing to share their time.

Thanks guys,,I'm just a big kid playing with my blocks,,except now I just glue them all together. The last one I had to prep everything by hand,,now with a bigger jointer it made this one a breeze, the joints came out seamlessly.I'm enjoying carving the cherry,,the finished cut looks like it came out of a pinkish block of wax with a high gloss to it,,really neat,,,going near it with sandpaper would kill it all.
Joy,,you are so right,,there are so many here with great talents and gifts to offer if it is done in the interest of helping /supporting/teaching each other in the advancement of this great art at any level.
TNartist05,,,thanks,I appreciate it ,,,but I'm not touching that with a 10 ft pole LOL..This is simply what I do and what I have to offer. If that gives someone an idea,,prompts a question,,so much the better. I never would have imagined doing some of these pieces either,,but it just evolves,,play with blocks,,then one day you decide to glue 'em all together,,,,

An interesting project Mark, thanks for keeping us posted on your progress. It gives me ideas for the future and how to accomplish them.
