Default Acanthus Spoon

Just finished this. It is basswood with Garnet shellac and wax. Let me know what you think!

Thanks Keoma! I guess they are grapes. I got the pattern out of an old book. I'll be interested is seeing if Mark Yundt recognizes it, I know he has the book!

Now that is a very nicely styled spoon. I enjoy the way the leaves swirl up and around and cup the berries.

The finish sure made that basswood look its best! Nice design! I have the same book and you turned the panel into a spoon beautifully.
