Default 3 phases a mama

ok, so when I go to sleep at night I lye awake for ages. The only thing that lets me drift off is planning what I am going to do tomorrow. Well, the best part about that is my mind is slowly slowly relaxing and the ideas that come about are usually quite great. This is a picture of what I am starting today. Please ignore the fact that I cannot draw and that I had only my kids crayons to work with

This will be in 3 pieces. The comb part will ba made of shedua...which I was lucky enough to score yesterday...(shhh...don't tell my father in law!) The moon behind her will be Nutmeg ... (MIKE I have not forgot your box)...and the Goddess herself will be Rosewood over them both. I think it will look really great. If it works that is. Wish me luck, off to the shop before it gets to hot.

Me too!!

I do the same thing some evenings. Most of the time I am out like a light, but some nights I'll lie there forever thinking about the things I need to get done. Rarely does the muse inspire some new idea - but when it happens it's usually great.

Can't wait to see how this one comes out. The design looks fantastic.

thanks!
I messed up already on it...I rounded the back of the wood oput of habit. I think I will start over. I cannot bend the wood at the right angle without snapping it. Poop. It is glueing now. I had to force my self to walk away and get some housework done. I will EAGERLY rush out in about an hour. Cross your fingers!!!

Lets remember that this is a WIP thread ok? It is turning out alright, will hold any opinions untill it is finished. I already know how I will do it different on the next one, but I will of course finish this one...
You can see in the right side of the woman where a bit of nicely aimed spit has brought out a bit of the colors, I think it will be lovely. I am a positive person though, so we'll see. Thanx for all your great feedback!

Neat piece Keoma! Is the nutmeg inlay into the Shedua? Great affect with the moon there!
You do a lot of hair combs and hair pins and the like. Do you ever wear them? Just curious. I imagine you'd want people to see them, you do such nice work!
