| | The 3 Hillbillies! Hi everyone again, I carved these three Hillbillies last week after I carved the little man. They are carved from a piece of Basswood, 1"x3". I really enjoy doing the carvings and threads. My son showed me how to post the photos.\ Thanks, Vic |

| | Re: The 3 Hillbillies! vic,
paint for the eyes.
walmart, hobby lobby and Michaels sells acrylic craft paint,
i dont think there is much of a difference of brands in the craft paint until you get into the more expensive artist acrylic sold in tubes, there is some amount of binders and filler difference
but im with lynn droughty i think all the craft paint comes from the same vat...
but in the craft paints look for folk art and plad, some 2oz bottles are labeled pigment and the color is much easier to deal with it dont have much filler and you dont need as much to do the same job.
you can catch most of the acrylic craft paints 2 for a buck if you watch.
buy some quality brushes and your set.
also search lynn droughtys posts on his painting tutorials and pearls of wisdom, its the best way to learn painting on the form that i know. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
