| | Re: 2nd NDN It didn't take you long to finish this later carving Vince. His eyes really grab you when you first see your carving. You could almost chisel him off the log and make a mask if you wanted too. So what's your next project? Try a female face...I betcha that will slow you down.

| | Re: 2nd NDN Hi Vince, nice carving! When I finish a carving there is always something I would change. I have yet to carve one I'm totally happy with and maybe that is a good thing. Makes me always want to improve! LOL : Did you woodburn the eyes, they look very natural?

| | Re: 2nd NDN I did not burn the eyes this time, I used a heavy paint wash. I don`t have a good bruner so I did not want to mess up these eyes. This is the first time I have done them this way with the pupil not cut out. Vince |

| | Re: 2nd NDN Hi Vince, good job on the painting of the eyes. I usually burn my eyes, but I have been trying to learn how to carve out the pupil.

| | Re: 2nd NDN Vince I don't know how you could possibly improve on that carving. It's a good job you finished it the way it is without hackin it up and wrecking it. To me, it's perfect the way it is.
