I thought I would share a couple of photos of how I store my tools. I tend to travel a bit so I like to take my tools with me for time killing in hotels etc. I took an old fishing tackle box and made tool holders for my chisels and everything I need is neatly stored therein. The knives are a peek at what I use for whittling. The bottom of the box holds my sandpapers, strop, coping saw and bits of other things a guy might need. ![]()

Thanks Gilly, I needed that! Was just thinking about replacing my soft side carry-all with something solid. Plus as I get more tools I need more space in the "tool box". Might just follow your example. TOM H

Nice box! I use a "jumbo" box from HD, I think. I like the tool holders in the top tray! Nice!

Bart, I believe I recognize that box from Hickory. I've looked on Ebay and can't find anything like it, but it is sure a unique carrying case for your tools! Thanks for sharing the pics! See you in Charlotte! Blake |

Great idea, compact, secure, and handy. Approximately how much would it weigh, fully loaded? That might work for me if it's light enough. Great idea though. Thanks for sharing it with us Gilly. Bob
