Larry that is a nice blade and well done. Would it be OK with you if I were to "borrow" your design. Only for personal use.

Hi Larry I have been using the self adhering tape from Texas Woodcarvers supply and just as you, have found that a few wraps around the thumb holds its shape and form. Works as well as the leather ones that kept falling off. I ma interested in the knives you made from a recip saw blade. Can you tell me the grinding steps or shaping procedure? Ed

To start thanks to all for nice comments. Dicky after all the help i have received on this site if it would be helpful you or any one else are more than welcome. Ed I will try. I use wire brush on grinder to remove paint, use fine point marker to draw blade shape, use metal cutting burrs on drill press that i found at yard sale to shape blade i think you can order them from machine shop suppliers they will not burn metal, I use grinder buffer i made from floor buffer it turns slow enough so you can control heat, i also have grinder buffer made from old neck massager it turns extremely slow. Larry
