Default Texturing ideas please

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and this is my first time posting. I have been searching for ideas / techiniques for texturing in relief carving. I am working on a project right now that is a landscape and had grass and water shown. I am trying to find a good way to create texture to add some detail but I've been striking out. Does anyone have any ideas or websites that may show some tricks?

Thanks ahead of time.

well i'll stab at this scene no one else has.. texturing as you have refered to in grass or water may not be the same as im thinking. these areas i usually see carved. however i have seen texturing tools made from the nail heads of large nails. (20 penny) they took a hack saw and cut groves onto the head turned it over an presto.. texturing tool... anyways hope this may help...if not you will have a nail to hang a hugh photo in your liveing room

Tandy Leather has tools that are made for tooling leather, but can be used on some woods, depends on what your looking for in texture idea. I've used a number of them. you can create clumps of grass just with a vee tool, small shrubs. What do you want?
