The PVC pipe sure beats trying to convince my kids or wife to hold the light just so. They just don't see the thrill in getting that picture just right.

Once you clip those lights to the pipe you'll need to wire the handles together so the light is firmly held in place.

Do you do any white balance adjustments
or just use the automatic setting on your camera?

I only use the Portrait setting which narrows the field of focus. I use a Nikon D70 so every thing is pretty well automatic. But I have had good results with my wife's pocket digital also.

Bummer, I checked everywhere around here for poster board, if they have it, it's in the most horrible colors imaginable.....for backgrounds that is! Guess until I find what I want I'll just apply all your techniques to the cloth background I've been using. I have a couple ideas for how to drape it better, thanks to your tips Lynn, thanks again for all the help and advice you give us! Deborah
