Default Small sanders

I recently watched a carver in action at a local wildfowl show. He used a small sander to sand his birds. I have never seen a sander similar to that.
Does anyone here have information as to small hand sanders that are available.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about or not? Saw a person doing a bird about two weeks ago using one of these....

Detail sanders are a popular item, Bosch,Proxonn and makita all have the detail sander. B & D has one its called a mouse, you can change the pads for different typs of sanding. Skip

Hi Garry, could it have been this one? http://www.ares-server.com/Ares/Ares...oduct&ID=81266

This merchant also carries alot of different micro sanding belts, ropes, and grits. Just click on Filing and Sanding on the left and then again on the Sanding catagory.

I hope this helps.

M.

Most all of the woodcarving shops sell small cushioned rotary drums for Dremels, Foredom, etc... The sizes vary from 1/4" up to 3/4 inch in diameter. I never go anywhere without these and my B&D Mouse.

Hey Greg...thats a great buy! Chicago elect is pretty good from what I hear, not like the central machinery brand.....and the Proxxon like that was substantially more $$ thanks...I think! now something else to spend money on? tools, tools, so many tools, so little $$

Greg

I have heard from a number of contractors that they use the chicago electric brand all the time, it lasts as long as the expensive stuff but they pay 1/3 or less! I haven't tried any, my neighbor has and he likes them as well....guess its my turn
