Of course, I've had the same problem "reaching under" without thinking. |

| | Re: Show me your tool rack(s) Hey Thomp,
The pexiglas is not removable. When it gets some chips in there I remove the tools and run the shop vac over the holse and presto, it's clean enough for me ;o)

| | Re: Show me your tool rack(s) Just got thru making a new movable work station. It fits a fold up 2'x4' table so that I can take in the house to let the little woman see me once in a while(she's funny that way-called me Fred the other day, don't know who that is) or put in front of the TV instead of the shop work table. I added a 1"x2" along the lower front side to allow pushing on the carving without the work surface sliding on the table(it butts up against the edge of the table). Added a rubber mat and turned it upside down for the smooth surface. This provide the work surface to allow easy clean up and protect blades when dropped. Painted the wood black behind the plexiglas to better view gouge blade type. Sides are to keep chips from the carpet in the TV room. The removable carving vise is mounted on a seperate board with an angle attached to fit around front edge, it's tight to not allow movement. Used it for couple of days now and find it is really mobil and user friendly. I think it's going to work out if for no other reason it's handy to store gouges immediately and easily after I make a cut. When I do this I have them arranged so I know right away where they go and don't have to search for them. |

Looks like a take with you kind also.
I like it. |

| | Re: Show me your tool rack(s) For a take along carving station I would'nt want it any bigger but yes I it would easily fit in vehicle I think. I finding since I've been using it I like carving several different places within my shop and house, and it fits. I'm sure I'll have a few additions over time.
Thanks |

| | Re: Show me your tool rack(s) No Ron the work table does not have legs. Although I made it to sit on a 2x4 foot table I've been using it several different places in my shop and house. I'm liking it the more I use it. Keeps all the tools stored, protected and I know where they're at when I store one and ready to pick another.
