Looks like a deal to me! My personal preference is for Jack Daniels Single Barrel, but to the best of my knowlege it doesn't come in a wood box. Maybe I need to change. Or maybe, but the whole keg!

yeap but cutty sarks taste isnt as heavy duty as jack's!!!

Eddy, what are you using as blade protectors and where did you get them?

I use cheap old kid's craft foam purchased at either Walmart or JoAnn's, or Michael's. In this photo the protectors are constructed of two different colored foams, red and beige. For my gouges I first cut out the backing piece which is the beige piece. Then I cut out the smaller front piece which is the red foam. To the underside of the red foam I super glued a thin piece of cardstock, slight thinner than the width of the red piece. Then I super glue the red piece to the beige backing to form a sheath. When I first came up with the idea I bought the self sticking foam but found that with the heat of central Florida my work soon fell apart. That's when I came up with the idea of using super glue around the edges. Since then I've had no problems. It's a simple idea and relatively sturdy. Even if I get a little rammy and poke a hole in one they are so easy to replace that it only takes a minute or two for a replacement. What I also like is that they are light weight, fit easily into the tool slots of my tool rolls and containers, and you can write on them with pen or marker to your heart's content! I also glue two sheaths back to back to get maximun usage from my tool rolls. The protectors for my knives are just two pieces of foam glued together as tight as I can make them with no cardstock invovled.

I just finished making this tool rack today. It was inspired from Xsailer's earlier post on this thread. I've been aquiring some more tools and I just did not have a proper place for them. I had been just using my Bucket Box, but it was getting filled up. The biggest problem I had was cutting the plexiglass (I just used a utility knife and scored it several times and then snapped it off which was kind of a pain. I didn't want to try and saw it in fear of ruining it). It's 3' long, 6 1/2" high and 1 1/2" wide. It holds 22 tools. I used to just have my tools scatterd all over my table. Now, I plan on just putting the tool after use back in the rack which is right in front of me and I won't (shouldn't) worry about cutting myself from another tool. I also modified my Bucket Box by taking it apart and adding some carpet as seen in the picture. Now, the cutting edge of some tools should be safer. (I always wondered why they don't come that way in the first place). Now, time to get back to carve something. It's been a busy Summer so far and I haven't carved much.

Good looking set up there chipper. You got a lot of tools! I don't think I would know what to do with all of those. But I am kind of the same way with knives myself. I like trying out new ones and seeing what I like and don't like.

A lot of tools? Never, ha-ha. Don't tell my wife that. The Flexcuts were my first, but once I found Denny and Pfeil tools I really don't use them much anymore. As far as the knives I still would like to try a Ron Wells (Mike Shipley) one. The knife that I use the most would probably be the Stubai one and that's probably because that's the one I used to learn how to sharpen with a set of diamond stones I have. When I bought it I didn't realize it didn't come sharp. I put several hours into getting it just right and now it's the knife I go to most often.

Hey I won't tell I have a couple of the Shipley/Wells knives. They are very thin bladed knives and hone easily. They slice thru the wood very nicely. I do like a flat bladed knife with no secondary bevel bevel on them but I am finding that I prefer my Denny detail and my Ferguson knives especially for animals.. I can roll the blades a little better with those knives as they are a tad thicker. But I haven't met a knife I didn't like yet

Very impresive Chipper !! I really like the round one, I made one that is only one level, guess I will be making some changes. Thanks for showing us the pictures.
