Default Sand-o-Flex Wheels

For those of you that wanted the sander that Lynn uses and were told they were out of stock I found where you can get them and cheaper. Go to " Key Abrasives". I'll have mine next week. Merle

This appears to be the manufacturer. Site has "worldwide locations"

Merit Abrasives

Here are three that I found in the US.

What grit would be the best for a carving? I thought they sold these at woodcraft?

I bought one some time back with 320 grit. Not happy with the results. To me it does more damage than good - the smoothness it leaves just does not feel/look right. Of course most of my carvings are smaller in size; it may work better on a larger piece.

Hi Dave, Yes that is who I'm getting mine from. I checked the other places and this is the least expensive. It's located in California. Merle

Hi Claude,Merit Industries is out of them and won't have them for at least 3 weeks according to their Sales Manager. Woodcrafts prices are out of site. $40.49 for the Wheel Vs.$33.50 at Key Abrasives and $13.95 for the refills at Woodcraft Vs. $9.2o at Key Abrasives. I don't have anything to do with any Co. just trying to save a buck when I can. Merle
