Has anyone made a router fixture to remove background material for a relief carving. I am contimplating a relief carving in a door and would like to save myself some time in the waste material removal. The carving will continue throughout 5 panels in a 5-panel door.

I have simply made my own plate out of a thick piece of 12x12 plexiglass. This allows me to see my work/lines and trim whatever excess I wish. I guess you could use various sizes to fit your work. That's how I started my wood duck see in my avatar

I like to use my Legacy Ornamental Mill to do that; I purchased it about 5 years ago for about $800.00 – The best router table I have ever used. |
