Default Painting Tip

I have to share with you a painting tip I learned from a good friend of mine Mark Ricker. Mark is a fantastic artist and paints mostly wildlife on such things as claws, skulls, animal hides and believe it or not feathers. He told me when doing smaller carvings to use an old pillow. Lay the carving on the pillow while doing the detail work. Well it works great the carving doesnt move at all and it is great when trying to put on the detail. I am sure we all have those old pillows that turn yellow we throw out try one next time your painting I think you will be suprised how well it works.
Colin

Default Re: Painting Tip

Hi Colin, That sounds like it would steady my Old Shakey Hands. I will definitely try it on my next Painting. Thanks. Merle
