Default Oval Jig..Great for making bases.

Here's a jig for making Oval patterns. I make a lot of bases using an oval and the old two pins and string trick just doesn't give professional results. This one does.

Naturally, it will have to be downsized for smaller bases.

lynn,
thank you for your ideas that you have been giving on this message board.when I look at how long you have been carving and by the looks of your carvings there are a lot of us who should take notice . like b.f. hutton when he talks every body listens . because he knows what he is talking about. you have a lot of talent and a whole lot of knowledge, and have tricks we can all use.

Just old Jim

If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert , in five years there'd be a shortage of sand.

Yep Old Lynn O has lots of neat ideas and suggestions of which I am most appreciative of.
As for the oval making jig, a bit of work the first time I guess, I prefer to do it a little bit easier, something like this article.
