If you're like me putting on a glove or thumb guard is just too much work, they get in the way, ... Even with a glove, you're gonna get poked, no way around it! To make the nicks and cuts not so bad, keep a bottle of hand lotion close by and rub a little on your hands every 30 minutes or so. Wood and wood chips/dust will dry out your hands pretty fast, a little lotion will moisturize your hands and your tools won't bite so bad!

Along these lines. Cyanoacrylic acetate makes great temporary stitches.

Yeper, old super glue has been used for that since Nam. My paramedic son has used it on old dad a many times. Seems when I cut myself, the little bride calls son up and he runs over to see the damage and usually says stitches but then, the old man being hard headed, says "Super Glue". Now if it is really bad, pee before you put superglue on the cut. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! I love pain, but not wet pants. Sorry for Monkey ing around.
