Default inlay collers for canes and walking sticks

First of all , do you buy them that way and just cut to size. Second , how do you attach them to your cane. I read one thread where the person said they were going to put three of them on. Is there a vido about it or some place I can see how it is done. Thank You.

hi, if u going to join the head to a cane u can buy, or make 1's of [pipe] find a pc. of pipe a little bigger then the collier put sandpaper inside of it[try on scrap] to get the collier to fit [tight] then u can put it together use a little e-pox to keep it together u can also sand by hand couple of my canes i put threaded inserts into the base cane[ to beable to change heads] and e-pox all thread in the head then a piece of chrome tubing for a collier it look alright i also used copper tubing too. cut it to fit 1"-2"long x 1"-1,1/2"-2" round colliers r used for looks, or to hind the joint for strength EI.if using 2 kinds of materials[ bone and wood]

second hand ifo, and incomplete- canemaker I know uses mens gold wedding rings, gets them cheap and they are the right size. they also never tarnish. Plain simple flat band.
