Default Book: Horse of a different color, Tom Wolfe & review

Horse of a different color, Tom Wolfe & review

on my local area msn page ive developed a group to get some interest of wood carving for my local area, so far no luck, these carvers are just too shy
maybe this ain't the place for book reviews but i thought i would give my opinion on a few books i bought so it might just help others make decisions before they shell out some bucks that may be better put to use on carving supplies.

I like the book, I haven't carved anything from it yet but it's typical of Tom's books. One step by step carving, several patterns for others and a bunch of gallery shots. I like Tom's stuff. I learned more from watching him in his DVD, Carving Bears and also Tom Wolfe Goes To The Dogs. Good stuff!

Years back, when I had another slump in carving, I decided to take up coutry western singing, learn to play the guitar and take up yodeling. Found a good instructor for the guitar and finally located a yodeling school. But after the first yodeling lesson, I found out that it all sounded like Switzerland instead of Kentucky. I asked the instructor about it and told him I wanted to learn country western yodeling........he told me.......

"Oh, that's a course of a different holler!"
