Default got my bandsaw up and running

Good Morning All

I got the new tires and belt on my bandsaw, I posted a question couple of weeks ago about the safety issues, all the advice is great - wonderful in fact

I gave the bandsaw a trial run, it is awesome. of course I am very wary, I have the door shut, and if the door is shut no-one is allowed to enter - knock- cough - or anything near or close to the door

now I busy cutting so I get busy carving - I'm so excited

Cheers,
Laine

That's great to hear. You sound very excited and it will probably help you with your carving, too. Being able to rough out the pieces first.

Thats great! I screwed mine up this morning and knocked the blade off the guides. A perfect example of not thinking. Just pay close attention each time you turn it on and it will pay dividends from now on.

hi all,
omg - I just re-read my last thread and it sounded kind of rude
- I meant it in a very polite appreciative way- no offense and many apologies if it offended, yes I will definitely reread each and every safety suggestion and always be fully aware of the power and respectful of the machines

No offense taken - I read your response as "emphatic believer", not rude.

There are a couple of really good books all about bandsaws I don't remember the titles or author but they are great books.
