| | Re: A fun medim continuing with a fun medium, here is the third in a group of 4 that I'm doing. Two from the Old Testament and two from the New.This is Moses parting the Red Sea.Visually I like the triangulation that loops from Moses' pointing finger to that far off place, then back again to the character in the lower right. The "line" then continues through the figures left arm through the second figure gesturing to Moses, and back again. The parting sea also adds to this direction, going off and returning again.I know this isn't wood yet, but I thought you might get a kick out of it anyhow. |

| | Re: A fun medim Mark, I'm just chiming in with much praise and admiration for the work, but also thanks for showing this stage of your work with us. The dimensions surprised me, but when I went back and looked again made perfect sense. 2" dimension in a relief is something I can't imagine. 20" X 30" put it in a perspective I hadn't expected too.
I totally admire your very convincing draped fabric and the way you parted the sea is awesome.
May I ask how large the woodcarvings will be?
Thanks again, and please let us see more progress images now that you've figured that out.
