Default Easy Tool Roll

Went to a JoAnns store and picked up some out of date upholsery fabric samples (free). Folded and sewed pockets for the tools. Cut up an old leather belt to line the tool pockets. Put an old leather shoe string through the grommets that held the sample on the display so I can tie the roll together. Total cost 0000000.

Tom,

Great idea! I could use something just like that.

I have 5 young kids, so I can really handle the cost

Tom H, I question your cost analysis. I had to buy a sewing machine, $700, then she said I needed software to make it work, another $500, Classes to learn how to work it, $350.
I did score some free material. $000. My shoes kept falling off after taking out the laces, and then my pants fell off after using my belt for the tool backing.
I think I will stick with Lynn's videos.

Have a nice day. Tom E

Rebuttal to cost analysis: My sewing machine is vintage Singer Featherweight; purchased used 40 years ago. So the price has been written off years ago. Classes were not needed for this ol' machine. It has no bells and whistles. Only sews forward and backward. As for shoe laces; summer sandals. Have solved the pants falling down by increasing my waist size without increasing the pants size.

Neat idea! I've been trying to find something small to carry camping with me and this might be just what I need.
Of course, I'll have to trade labor so my wife would sew it for me.
