...that a carving glove doesn't do any good unless you wear it?
I was reminded the hard way.Took a 1/4in.skew chisel,in deep,between my left thumb and indexfinger.Went in deep enough so it aches.Pain is a good reminder.
I picked up the chisel intending to make one quick cut...

Ouch! Hope you cleaned it out well and that it heals okay. Everything working ok in the area? Carving yourself can be costly and painful, but a fact of life for carvers. Hope it heals quickly.

Before they slip me over the standing part of the fore sheet, I'd like to pipe: "Up Spirits" or "Splice the Main Brace" .....................one more time.
For what it's worth, the gloves work better against cuts rather than punctures. So, for what it's worth, you may have still hurt yourself even if you'd worn the glove.
