did I reinvent the wheel? Today I was trying my darnedest to separate an arm from the body on a golfer carving. I didn't want a large gap just some daylight, and it became obvious it was going to be ugly before it happened. I set it aside and picked up another project (does anyone else carve more then one piece at a time?) and while I was on the other piece I thought maybe a hacksaw blade would work. Wowser, it was flexible and did a super job of cleaning all the stray cuts I had made, I was on a roll.... I heated one to anneal it and was able to make one I could bend to shape..Then I put some self adhesive sand paper on one and had the best little flexible sanding stick ever. Has anyone else used these on their carvings, did I reinvent the wheel? Arnie |
