Default Cutting Blanks with Bandsaw

I have looked high and low on this board for the answer to this question.
How do you make a jig to help in cutting a say, 3"X3" blank into two triangles with a band saw. I have seen a picture of one that someone had made. I could have sworn it was on this board.
Thanks in advance for your help

I believe it was as well. You can just use the fence on a BS or a table saw either one but the jig held it nice. Might have been in the magazine. Will check the archives.

I tilt my bandsaw table to 45 degrees, then run the fence up until it intersects the corners.

Catbird:
Here Woodcraft - Kreg Bandsaw Fence - Enhanced Image is a picture of one. Fences are also used on table saws.

Hi Catbird: This may not work for everyone but this is what I do. I have a 2x4 with a V cut in it at a 45 degree angle. By putting the block into the V I'm able to saw down a partial length of the block. Then I just turn it around and saw from the other end. I use a 15in. bandsaw for this.
Good Luck
Ed

Thanks so much for all of the info.
Claude, thanks for the picture of a fence.
You would get a kick out of the fence, using the term loosely LOL I made up with a 1X4 piece of wood and a couple of clamps to hold it. A sight to behold!!
I'll see if I can find a fence to fit my bandsaw. Thanks
Catbird
