Default Christmas Cards: "Inspiration"

You can find inspiration in many different places, so stop and take a second look at your christams cards that came in the mail this year. Don't just look for a great "Santa face", look at the card in general for different effects: snowman shapes, that covered bridge for a relief carving, snow piled on the tree branches, colors and designs on hats, scarves, clothing, facial expressions, snowflake shapes, etc, etc.

When I find inspiration off a card, I cut off the front cover and store it in a plastic box, full of various trinkets of inspiration for future use, reminds me of my moms "receipe box" every time I flip through the saved holiday, birthday, special occassion card tops that I've been svaing for reference material.

Hope it makes sense to you, cause I just filed away a beautiful card cover that has five snowman all with different hats, scarves, mittens, and buttons....can't wait to apply some of them on next years ornaments.
Enjoy....Bill

Great idea Coffeeman. Inspirations can come from all kinds of common everyday places, calenders are another great source. But I like your card idea best, smaller and easy to store. There are some great scenes in those cards.

Bill, I was just at the UPS store and they had a display of hallmark snowmen and snow women. There was a really neat snowman playing the piano.
