Default carving holders

I came up with an idea to hold carvings after finished and also can be used to paint the carving. Paint spray can lids cut down, they come in all different colors. I use the plain ones at my paint station to hold whatever.....the colored ones I sit carved eggs or ?? whatever fits lol.

idea Dave, no spray can lid will be safe from the shears at my house. Snip, snip, snip
How about coming up with something to hold 'yam people' after painting them while drying?

Well that was helpful!
Decided placing a large nail though the yam after carving it. Then wrapping some string on each side of the nail and hanging up to dry. Same for after painting then when paint is dry remove nail, run some string, ribbon, or leather though the yam in place of the nail for a hanger. Some wrapped wire might look nice too.

I get an email from picture trails once a week stating how many people look at what pictures...geez...must have struck a cord with this one! 90 people viewed these!! But only 60 looked at the other one on how to cut them ha ha, that must mean 2/3 of the people have aviation snips
