Re: Carvewright/Compucarve Your braver than I am Bob. I heard and read so many bad things about the compucarve it scared me out of buying one. I see returned units at my local Sears stores all the time. Most people I believe buy two, since one is usually down waiting on parts. The only tips I have is to read the tips on the carvewright forum. Two major issues I know of are grounding and dust. They say to make sure you ground the dust collector as it can destroy the electronics. Also the electronics/circuit board is placed where the dust and other debris are routed though. I read an article about taking a glue gun and sealing those areas. A few users even routed additional air lines from a separate air compressor directly at the electronic controls to keeps the wood dust from settling. Good luck. I’m waiting on a couple of model generations down the road.
